Job Description
Our client, a privately owned and operated oilfield services company based out of Fort St. John, BC is accepting resumes from candidates with a strong Health & Safety background to review, evaluate and analyze work environments ensuring programs and procedures are implemented to prevent, eliminate, and control incidents and accidents.
Your duties as a health & safety coordinator/manager include:
- Ensures site compliance and training.
- Document all accidents, safety violations, and unsafe conditions.
- Recommend measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials.
- Conduct safety training and educational programs.
- Conduct new hire safety orientations.
- Inspect and evaluate sites, equipment and practices in order to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Manage & Implement Procedures/Codes of Practise.
- Manage ISN/Comply Works/Site Docs.
- Schedule and Conduct Safety Meetings
- Conduct investigations.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of direct safety and leadership experience in oil and gas construction.
- Good Personal Skills, works well in a team environment.
- Capable of multitasking
- NCSO is an asset
- Practical experience working in industry
Salary Information
Based upon applicants training credentials and experience (starting at $45/hr)
