Job Description

Our client, a privately owned and operated oilfield services company based out of Fort St. John, BC is accepting resumes from candidates with a strong Health & Safety background to review, evaluate and analyze work environments ensuring programs and procedures are implemented to prevent, eliminate, and control incidents and accidents.

Your duties as a health & safety coordinator/manager  include:

  • Ensures site compliance and training.
  • Document all accidents, safety violations, and unsafe conditions.
  • Recommend measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials.
  • Conduct safety training and educational programs.
  • Conduct new hire safety orientations.
  • Inspect and evaluate sites, equipment and practices in order to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Manage & Implement Procedures/Codes of Practise.
  • Manage ISN/Comply Works/Site Docs.
  • Schedule and Conduct Safety Meetings
  • Conduct investigations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of direct safety and leadership experience in oil and gas construction.
  • Good Personal Skills, works well in a team environment.
  • Capable of multitasking
  • NCSO is an asset
  • Practical experience working in industry

Salary Information

Based upon applicants training credentials and experience (starting at $45/hr)
