Job Opportunity: First Cook

Join our dynamic team as a First Cook and take advantage of the opportunity to work in both temporary and permanent positions. Experience a unique work-life balance with a two weeks on, two weeks off schedule at our comfortable and well-maintained camps located near Fort St. John, BC. Transportation to and from the camp will be provided by Macenna, while you will be responsible for your own commute to our Fort St. John office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare exceptional meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, ensuring the highest culinary standards.
• Complete daily and weekly paperwork, including inventory management and ordering.
• Maintain a well-organized and clean kitchen environment at all times.
• Develop alternative meal options to accommodate various dietary needs of our staff.

Qualifications:

• Local candidates in the Fort St. John, BC area are preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience as a First Cook in a camp setting.
• Certifications: Food Safe, First Aid, WHMIS.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Candidates with a positive attitude and a genuine passion for cooking and baking will be given preference. While we encourage applicants from the Fort St. John area, we are open to receiving resumes from those outside the region, provided you are willing to cover your own transportation costs.

• Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour

• Preferred: Valid Driver's License.
• Willingness to travel: 100% (required).
