About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of our valued client for a highly organized and motivated Dispatcher to support their oil & gas mechanical construction operations.

This position plays a critical role in coordinating field personnel and ensuring workforce requirements are met efficiently and effectively. The Dispatcher serves as a key point of contact between clients, project managers, supervisors, and field employees, helping to ensure projects are properly staffed and operational needs are met.

The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess excellent communication and organizational skills, and be able to adapt quickly to changing client requirements and project demands. Strong computer skills are essential, as our client is currently implementing new software and operational systems. The ideal candidate will be comfortable learning new technologies, adapting to process changes, and becoming a strong user of new software platforms.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule field personnel based on project and client requirements.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, supervisors, project managers, and field crews.
  • Manage crew rotations, travel arrangements, mobilizations, and scheduling changes.
  • Respond professionally and efficiently to urgent staffing requests and operational changes.
  • Track employee certifications, training requirements, orientations, and site access eligibility.
  • Maintain accurate employee, scheduling, and project records using company software systems.
  • Assist with onboarding, timesheet collection, reporting, and general operational support.
  • Support workforce planning by monitoring employee availability and staffing requirements.
  • Ensure all dispatch activities align with company policies, safety standards, and client expectations.

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams).
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software programs and technology platforms.
  • Comfortable working through software implementations and process improvements.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Professional, customer-focused, and adaptable approach to work.
  • Experience in dispatching, workforce coordination, scheduling, logistics, or administration is considered an asset.
  • Experience in oil & gas, mechanical construction, industrial construction, or related industries is preferred.

Salary & Other Info

Pay: CA$90,000.00 - CA$115,000.00 per annum
