Job Description
At Macenna, we specialize in connecting top talent with leading companies. We are currently seeking an energetic and qualified Materials Management/Warehouse Coordinator for our client, who focuses on supporting field operations and maintenance teams in NE British Columbia.
The Role:
In this role, the selected candidate will play a vital part in establishing an effective materials management program aimed at streamlining operations and maintenance efforts. You will primarily work in a warehouse environment, with some travel to additional material staging sites in the region.
Key Responsibilities:

Work collaboratively with teams in Supply Chain, Operations, and Maintenance to oversee the receipt, storage, staging, delivery, and disposal of materials and equipment.

Recognize and analyze opportunities to improve the efficiency of materials handling and logistics to better support operational and maintenance initiatives.

Manage scheduling for procurement and allocation of materials and equipment, aligning with delivery timelines and lead times.

Ensure timely communication regarding material statuses and outstanding purchase orders, including expeditions, tracking, and returns, in conjunction with internal teams and suppliers.

Uphold accurate inventory records and maintain the organization of stock in controlled warehouse spaces.

Facilitate year-end inventory assessments and conduct regular cycle counts as necessary.

Promote a safe and secure working environment, prioritizing the safety of personnel and maintaining strict control over materials and equipment.
Requirements
Skills & Qualifications:

A materials and warehousing coordinator with a minimum of 5 years of experience in related fields, ideally within the upstream oil and gas sector.

Proven background in managing inventory for equipment and parts that support planned maintenance activities, covering areas such as mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, piping, and consumables.

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to effectively engage with both internal teams and external vendors.

Educational qualifications such as a Technical Diploma related to Upstream Oil & Gas operations or Supply Chain/Materials Management are preferred.

Familiarity with integrated systems related to inventory, logistics, receiving, and shipping processes.

Relevant certifications including Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), Provincial First Aid, and a valid driver’s license abstract.

Ability to lift materials and products weighing up to 50 pounds.

Willingness to work in field settings with provided accommodations while on shifts.

Current work schedule expected to be 5 days on, 2 days off, with potential adjustments in the future.
